A young man in his mid twenties, who is still stuck serving as a squire, seeks to finally earn the approval of his king (and his knighthood), by going out on a quest to retrieve an enchanted golden chalice from a witch who lives deep in the woods. Only to find himself defeated, and stripped of everything that once made him a man in the first place. And eventually... even his humanity as well.
