A man eager to start DNA replacement keeps a journal of his thoughts each day on his way to becoming a facsimile of a gnoll. However, given the newness of the experiment as well as his lack of information about hyenas, several aspects of the process are less than appealing. All he can do is ride it out till the end, hoping the less palatable aspects were not permanent, or at least something he could eventually get used to.

After encountering a deadly beast while camping, Charlie writes in their journal and considers themselves lucky to have gotten out alive. Yet, the rapidly healing bite wound is only the first sign of a month-long change, one that Charlie can't help but look at with excitement as the next full moon draws near...

This poll winning story from my Patreon page is a followup to my previous story, 'What Dogs Me', and continues the character's trials, tribulations, troubles, and transformations. Living with a condition that turns her into a dog whenever her emotions run high, she had to navigate a world hostile to her while trying to keep her spirits up. Does have a somewhat positive ending and I do hope to continue series. Enjoy! ^^
