A continuation of the story “Burden of Penalty” following Chapter 3, “Changes”. We follow Aaron and Rebecca as they struggle in their attempt to lead somewhat normal teenage lives while carefully hiding their secret from the world. A blood test to determine if Rebecca is pregnant results in a swirl of emotions for everyone, its result dictating the path their journey will take. In the midst of all this, Aaron and Rebecca finally figure out where they stand.

Aaron and Rebecca grew up together as lifelong friends. They are now college bound teenagers whose primary preoccupations are transitioning to adulthood and establishing career paths. Everything suddenly changes after Rebecca returns home from a hunting trip. Aaron learns that she's been forced into a desperate situation and that the mistake she made will have drastic consequences for them both that may last the rest of their lives.

This story was created as part of a collaboration with the amazing Gabrielmoon where we took a combined prompts from our Patreons and wrote our own versions of that story. In my tale, 'Better in Black & Tan', two friends sneak into soon to open zoo hoping for a sneak peak before one moves away. Doesn't take long for them to gravitate to a couple of exhibits where they find themselves drawn in a lot more than they expected. And they love it. ^^
