Thanks for your patience

Just wanted to drop a quick note thanking everyone for their patience with the site over the years, and especially with this hacking shit. I know it's been a long wait, and I really appreciate the support.
When I started on the previous version of the Lab, I had only a rough understanding of web development, but now I'm a full-time web developer. With the rapid pace at which I was learning, I kept getting caught in this trap where I'd get 3/4 of the way through completing the site, learn a bunch of stuff, and then realize I should just start over.
I'm at a point now where that won't happen anymore.
The plan for the coming weeks is to finish cleaning up the features that are already on the site. It's obviously still in beta, but please feel free to play around with it and send any bugs or feedback my way. Once everything is all buttoned up, I'll officially announce that the site is open.
Obviously, no matter how good of a job I do, the Lab is nothing without its writers. I've decided to allow all registered, activated users to submit. In theory, any truly terrible submissions will be weeded out via user votes, browsing filters, reporting, and so on. It's an experiment. If it fails and the site is just inundated with garbage, I'll have to re-examine how to handle this, but I think it's worth trying.
Finally, I am hosting the site now. A huge thanks to Furvect and TF-Media for hosting us in the past, but it's time for the Lab to stand up on its own two feet.
