AI-generated stories are not allowed

Our content policy will be updated to reflect this, but as of now, we don't allow AI-generated stories to be posted on this site.
In their current state, AI stories are consistently little better than mad-libs, and there's no value to them beyond the humor of seeing the dumb computer make silly words.
Maybe we'll revisit this policy in the future if the quality and originality of story-generating AI ever improves. To be honest, this ban is probably self-correcting, because if an AI story is ever actually good enough to avoid mod suspicion, the problem solves itself.
I'm not going to interrogate authors to prove a story isn't AI-generated; it's generally quite obvious and I'm mainly interested in getting rid of the obvious stuff. Yes, you're welcome to use an AI to get you started on a story that you flesh out if that helps you. Yes, if you figure out a way to trick an AI into writing something decent, you're super cool.
