Hosting Issues

Sorry about the sporadic downtime over the last couple of days.

The TL;DR is that my hosting company performed some "upgrades" to my server that included deleting PHP. If you were receiving a prompt to download a file a couple of days ago, don't worry, it was nothing malicious-- the server just didn't know what PHP was anymore.

When I asked them to reinstall PHP, they decided they should just revert the server to where it was at the beginning of the month, which apparently included the database and all automated database backups. Unfortunately, I can't do anything to restore that lost data. I confirmed with them that they had idiotically deleted the backups, and no, I'm not happy with them.

I discovered today that they ALSO massively screwed up a number of other server settings, which is why the site was down for a chunk of today.

Sorry again about this downtime. I'm going to be looking for another host as a result of this absolutely amateur service. My options are pretty limited due to the type of content on this site, so I'm not hopeful I'll find a better one.

I'll be keeping a close eye on the server for the next week to make sure everything behaves itself. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you notice any other issues.

agreed i am just happy that you are still around, i hate it when my favorite sites disappear without notice or a reason why. than you for the update.
It's OK sweetie. DO what you need to do and know many of us appreciate the work it takes to provide fantasies for us.
